PM: Russian economy copes with sanctions pressure

ST.PETERSBURG, Jun 15 (PRIME) -- Russian economy copes with the pressure of sanctions, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Wednesday at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"In general, we can say that our economy is coping with the pressure of sanctions at the current stage. The decisions made in order to attain the 2030 national development goals have helped us in many respects," Mishustin said.

He also said that the government prioritizes long-term planning and medium term adaptation of the economy.

"The overarching goal of our efforts is to ensure Russia's economic sovereignty," he said.

Mishustin added that the government has taken urgent measures to support the economy earlier.
